Coast Capital Savings is a Federal Credit Union. This means that they are federally regulated, with deposits insured by the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC). However, Coast Capital does not currently operate outside of BC. CCS was created out of a $3 billion merger in 2000 between Pacific Coast and Richmond Capital Savings Unions.
