Morell Credit Union was chartered on January 27, 1938, in Morell, Prince Edward Island. Its early development was influenced by the cooperative movement associated with St. Dunstan’s University and the Antigonish Movement in Atlantic Canada.
In 1981, Morell Credit Union amalgamated with St. Peter's Credit Union, extending its service area to additional communities in eastern Prince Edward Island. Today, it serves members in Morell, St. Peter's, Mount Stewart, and surrounding areas.
The credit union offers personal and business banking, borrowing, mortgages, investments, and related financial services. Member deposits are protected through the PEI Credit Union Deposit Insurance Corporation.
